Advice for Poultry Keepers:

1. In view of a possible outbreak and spreading of Avian influenza in birds, it is recommended to refrain from purchasing live poultry and backyard poultry farming.
2. Purchase live poultry only at specialized markets.
3. If any of the characteristic features manifest themselves (such as cyanosis of crest and wattle, refusal of food and water, depression, etc.), or in cases of mass death of birds, immediately inform Veterinary Service specialists.
4. Don’t allow the bird feces to be removed from the backyard without a preliminary bio-thermal disinfection.
5. The bodies of dead birds, as well as fluff, feather, internals are to be disposed of in bio-thermal composting holes using disinfectants, or burnt.
